If you live in South Central England and are concerned about the extinction risk implied by the creation of superintelligence but don't know how you can make a difference then this is the place for you. This is a welcoming community of likeminded people organising to make a genuine substantive impact. Our aim is to not simply vocally oppose the creation of superintelligence, but bring about legislation that will actively prevent it. We plan to achieve this by meeting our elected representatives, writing to local and national newspapers, building relationships within the community, performing peaceful public education and advocacy, hosting local meetings, and supporting ControlAI campaign! Doing what we can with the most effective methods we have available. If you care about the future the best thing you can do is act today.

Our lead organiser

I'm Sean, 30 years old, located just outside of Chichester. I'm very deeply committed to our shared goal of preventing the creation of superintelligence and willing to dedicate whatever I can to this most important goal. My personal academic expertise lies in International Policy and Security, but my role in this group will be to both support members as well as facilitate organisation and public action, but most importantly of all to ensure we are meaningfully achieving our goal, not simply discussing it. To this end I will make myself available wherever I can to our members to make sure everyone is best prepared and motivated and ultimately making a difference.
