My name is Brogan Woodman. I am the admin for Toronto's Control AI action group. Our north star is raising awareness to prevent the creation of super intelligent AI. A technology that experts widely agree has a >10% of disempowering human civilization leading to catastrophic collapse or an extinction event.

Our group meets twice monthly to discuss and plan our actions going forward to raise awareness to the public and politicians as fast as possible. This includes contacting local representatives, meeting with representatives, tabling events in public spaces, and workshops for community members.

If you are broadly concerned about loss of control of AI systems in any capacity, this group is for you. You don't need to be an AI researcher, have a background in the field, or a background in politics. We are simply concerned citizens using our voices to raise awareness.
