Our mission is to raise awareness among the public and lawmakers about the risk of human extinction from runaway machine intelligence: AI systems that, if developed, would surpass human capabilities across virtually all domains, act autonomously, and become impossible for humanity to control.

Leading AI researchers and industry figures have warnedthat preventing extinction from AI should be a global priority alongside preventing pandemics and nuclear war. We believe a risk of this magnitude demands decisive action. Developing runaway machine intelligence is a choice, not an inevitability. That is why we call on the US and its allies to establish an international agreement banning its development.

Our volunteer group turns concern into action through public outreach, educational events, and meetings with lawmakers. We help people understand the risks, make their voices heard, and build support for preventing them.
